GBES Weekly Family Forecast (June 13-17)

Dear Families,

Lots of learning continues to take place at school. Last week, students had an opportunity to work with their learning buddies to place soil in their classes’ garden box. This week we are hoping to plant some seeds.

School Supplies
Teachers have created school supplies lists for next year. You should have received a School Cash Online email with a link to make a payment or you can send money into the office if choose to have the school purchase classroom supplies.

Subway lunch takes place tomorrow and Little Caesar’s Pizza hot lunch takes place on Wednesday.

Spirit Days

The last full week of the school year we will celebrate Spirit Days. More information will be shared next week.

Black Excellence Day:

For the first time ever, Nova Scotia’s public schools will be celebrating Black Excellence Day on June 17, 2022.

Students and staff in Nova Scotia’s public schools as well as supporters are invited to wear black T-Shirts to celebrate and stand in unity in support of the success of Black students. Black Excellence Day celebrates Black Achievements, Black stories, Black Art, Black innovations, and Black people and their communities.

Library Books

Last week was the last day to borrow books. Students are asked to return their library books on Wednesday.
