What is your "why"? What drives you to do this important work each day?
My genuine love for working with children and a strong desire to help them succeed. To help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, where they feel valued and respected.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
The smiles and warmth I get from the students each day when I come to work. They make me feel appreciated and respected. The fact that they can share anything with me, and I will not judge them.
What would you most like families to know about the role of Student Support Workers in HRCE schools?
That I play a vital role in supporting and assisting their children, as I work with them throughout the school day. That I care for their children's well-being. That I always try to keep an open line of communication to understand their needs. That I am available for their children, emotionally and mentally.
