GBES Weekly family Forecast (April 18-22)

FYI

Good Afternoon Families,

I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable long weekend! Temperatures are starting to get warmer. With Spring upon us, the school grounds are quite muddy. Please send in a change of clothes with your child in case they have an accident outside. Students are also reminded to bring in a water bottle each day.

Registration for the 2022-2023 School Year

We are continuing to register students for September 2022. If you know someone in the community who has a child pre-primary or primary age, please let them know that registration is underway.

Primary Orientation

We will be hosting an orientation session for parents/guardians of students entering primary next year on Monday, May 2 from 1-2pm. We are hoping to hold the information session in-person. More information will be shared in next week’s family forecast.

Yoga

A permission form was sent home last week for students to participate in lunchtime yoga for Grade 2-6 students. If your child is interested in participating, return their permission form to their classroom teacher. The first day for yoga will be Monday, April 25 for grade 4-6 students and Wednesday, April 27 (not April 20 as stated on the permission form) for grade 2-3 students.

Jump Rope for Heart

Students at George Bissett are learning how to protect their heart and brain by participating in Jump Rope for Heart - celebrating its 40th birthday this year! Mr. MacKenzie is running this program.
