Our weekly forecast Feb 11-15
Last week was our first experience with the Delayed start. If a delayed start is announced it will add 2 hrs to the start of the day. Our school would open at 10:10 and classes start at 10:30. Please pass along your feedback to us at email@example.com
We will be having our second Lockdown drill of the year. It happens twice a year. It will happen on Wednesday. It will be discussed by the classroom teachers.
STUDENT SAFETY: The RCMP has asked me to remind parents to follow street signs in front of the school. No parking and stopping areas are to ensure proper sign lines for crosswalks.
STRESS! This is an important factor in our daily lives. I watched a great parent video from the self-reg folks on stress. It is 9 minutes. It is well worth a watch. Check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FajKR7Ix2M
It is African Heritage Month. We will be celebrating this across the school in P-6. There will be daily trivia questions to increase knowledge. Students will also get opportunities in their classrooms.
We are having a Winter Carnival this Friday. It will be school wide with students grouped across all grades. We will be doing lots of fun activities in the morning.
Lacrosse NS is coming in to do free clinics for our PE classes. If your child is interested in lacrosse, check our the local club info at http://dartmouthbandits.com/
