This Week's Forecast Nov 19-23
Hey GBES Families,
We are coming to the end of the first term of school. This means teachers are compiling report cards. This Wednesday is our Assessment and Evaluation day where teachers are working on report cards. THERE IS NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS THIS WEDNESDAY. Report cards are being released on December 4th.
Winter is here it seems. It is important that students have warm clothes ( hats, mittens, snowpants, boots) as it gets colder outside. The temperature will still fluctuate and we will monitor the students to ensure they are dressed according to the weather. We try and go outside as much as conditions allow.
School closures are a decision at the Regional level. You can find more information at the school board webste: https://www.hrce.ca/about-our-schools/parents/school-cancellations
If you have any questions about how decisions are made at the school level on going outside, or at the Regional level, please contact me at the office.
This year we will be a Spring Concert in April/May instead of a Holiday concert in December. This Spring concert will give our students the same chance to perform in front of our community. If you have further questions, please contact me at the office.
There is a school movie night coming up this Thursday! We will be showing The Incredibles 2. The cost is $2 a person, or $5 a family. Children need to accompanied and supervised by an adult. There will be a canteen with Popcorn, chips, pizza for $1 each (while supplies last).
I hope you have a great week.
