This Week's Forecast September 10-14
Thank you Families for a great start to our school year! This week marks the first full week of school. The importance of sleep and support cannot be understated. Our school staff are getting to know your child(ren) this week even more. They are starting to ask them to do more, and take some risks. Sleep is one of the key supports for adults and children. I have also been stressing to staff to make sure they rest up for the coming week.
Pick-up and Drop-offs are going well in the morning. Thank you. Just a reminder that supervision doesn’t start until 8:10 in the morning.
School Pictures from Adam Photography will be taken Monday morning. There is more information from the photographer attached to my email.
Stand Up To Bullying: our school will be observing Stand up to Bullying day on Thursday by wearing pink shirts and having school and classroom discussions on bullying.
There is a breakfast program that runs from 8:10-8:30 each morning. It is to ensure all our students have access to a healthy meal to start the day. It is open to all students. We get 15-30 students per morning. We are currently looking for a volunteer coordinator to do the shopping, and organize the daily volunteers. We also need daily volunteers to help serve the food. If you are interested, please contact the main office.
Hot lunch Program- We will be continuing with Hot lunch program from Little Caesars, and Subway. It will be starting in a few weeks. Orders will be processed through HealthyHunger.ca. We will let you know when you can start your orders.
